It's a V8, AWD car with four-wheel steering, four-speed trans, pop-up lights, and four-wheel IS. Everything works. I need dis.

but then again i wasn't even alive in the early 90's

The F1 car set 42000 is really nice.

Indeed. It, and pretty much any more modern Technic sets have "skins" instead of being open frame like the Super Car. It'd be interesting to see a more modern take on the Super Car with more fleshing out to look like a real car.

Never knew about that site. One of my most favorite LEGO cars :D Would like to own one, but way to expensive on eBay.

The way it has a mock-CV joint made out of the ball and a piece unique to that set is just cool.

I remember when this set was new(ish). I wanted it badly and tried to build it out of what i had by looking at the pictures. I got fairly close IIRC, but never had enough pieces for the drivetrain and suspension.

A couple of the pieces are apparently unique to the set, including half of the "CV joint". The tires, according to that page, were only in two sets.

I like that you're using the Jalopnik review score system - I bet very few of the more general Lego enthusiasts would spot that.

Yeah. It's one of the better methods to review things by.

My son and I have 8070, but we've pulled it apart and it's awaiting the rebuild as the alternate hot rod.
